Messiah 2033

Two thousand years from the cross

This site follows one reading of Daniel and Revelation: that Christ, crucified and raised in AD 33, returns in the fall of 2033, two prophetic days later. The reading names what has to happen first and when. Each of those checkpoints is tracked here in public, and if one fails, this page will say so.

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.Hosea 6:2. Read with 2 Peter 3:8: one day is with the Lord as a thousand years.

Where things stand

Two readings share the same counting method and sit three years apart. The first anchors the cross in AD 30 and comes due in spring 2027. The second anchors it in AD 33 and comes due in spring 2030. Each stands or falls on whether a daily offering is running on the Temple Mount in time.

  1. 1

The gold band marks Daniel’s 1,290 days, March 24, 2030 to October 3, 2033.

The reading

Each part below can be checked against Scripture and the calendar, and each is a place where the reading could be wrong.

The cross in AD 33

Friday, April 3, AD 33 fits a Passover crucifixion by the moon, with the resurrection on Sunday, April 5 and Pentecost on May 24. AD 30 also fits a Friday Passover, and scholars are divided. This reading takes AD 33.

Two days of a thousand years

“One day is with the Lord as a thousand years” (2 Peter 3:8), read into Hosea’s “after two days... in the third day.” Two thousand years from AD 33 is 2033. The year count needs no correction: there is no year zero between two AD dates.

The final half of Daniel’s week

Daniel 12:11 counts 1,290 days from the day the daily offering is taken away. Counted back from Yom Kippur, October 3, 2033, day one is Firstfruits, Sunday, March 24, 2030. An offering has to be running before it can be taken away.

The week already half fulfilled

Christ’s ministry, from fall AD 29 to April AD 33, is read as the first half of Daniel’s seventieth week (Daniel 9:27). Only the second half remains. The 2033 dates do not depend on this point; they rest on the two days and the 1,290.

The feasts in order

The spring feasts were kept to the day at the first coming: Passover, Firstfruits, Pentecost. The fall feasts remain: the trumpet of Yom Teruah, the atonement of Yom Kippur, the ingathering of Sukkot. The return comes with a trumpet (Matthew 24:31; 1 Corinthians 15:52).

The days that follow

Day 1,335 falls on November 17, 2033: “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days” (Daniel 12:12).

What Scripture states

  • The order: the offering taken away and the abomination set up, flight from Judea, great tribulation, signs in the sky, the appearing, the beast destroyed.
  • A final span of three and a half years, given as 1,260 days, 42 months, and a time, times and half a time.
  • The return comes after the tribulation of those days (Matthew 24:29 to 31).

What it does not state

  • A calendar date. “Of that day and hour knoweth no man” (Matthew 24:36).
  • That the two days of Hosea mean two thousand years.
  • A seven-year tribulation. The only seven-year unit is the single week of Daniel 9:27.
  • That the return falls on Yom Teruah. That comes from the pattern of the feasts.

The final 1,290 days, as this reading places them

Biblical days run from evening to evening, so most dates span two calendar days. Dates follow the standard Jewish calendar except where the March new moon is noted.

Spring 2030

  1. March 5 to 61 Nisan by the March new moon, the day the tabernacle was raised (Exodus 40:17). The latest fitting start for the daily offering.
  2. March 23 to 24Firstfruits, a Sunday. The daily offering is taken away and the abomination set up (Daniel 12:11; Matthew 24:15). The 1,290 and 1,335 days begin, and Judea flees.
  3. April 9 to 10Two witnesses begin 1,260 days of testimony in sackcloth (Revelation 11:3).
  4. April 17 to 18Passover on the standard Jewish calendar, too late to start the offering on this schedule.
  5. April 22 to 23The woman flees to the wilderness. Her 1,260 days and the beast’s 42 months begin (Revelation 12:6; 13:5).

About three and a half years: trumpets one to six, the mark of the beast, the witnesses’ testimony.

Spring 2033

  1. April 13 to 17Passover to Firstfruits, two thousand years from the cross and the resurrection.

Fall 2033

  1. September 19 to 20The witnesses’ testimony ends. The beast kills them, and they lie in the street three and a half days (Revelation 11:7 to 9).
  2. September 23 to 24Yom Teruah, a Sabbath. The seventh trumpet: Messiah appears, the dead are raised, the living are changed and gathered (Revelation 11:15; 1 Corinthians 15:52).
  3. September 24 to October 3The days of awe. Seven bowls of wrath (Revelation 16).
  4. October 2 to 3Yom Kippur, day 1,290. The beast and the false prophet destroyed (Revelation 19:20).
  5. October 7 to 15Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret, the first feast of the kingdom (Zechariah 14:16).
  6. November 16 to 17Day 1,335 (Daniel 12:12).

What has to happen before March 23, 2030

Ten steps, roughly in the order they would need to come. Status as of November 6, 2026.

  1. A willing government

The prime minister and security cabinet must approve it. Israel is under a caretaker government until a coalition forms.

    Not yet
  2. New police orders

The National Security Ministry directs the police. Police stopped every sacrifice attempt at Passover and Shavuot 2026.

    Not yet
  3. Jewish prayer made normal

Prayer sheets were allowed on January 21, 2026 and prayer books on August 16. At Sukkot police still removed five worshippers for the four species blessing.

    Partly
  4. Legal cover

Israel’s courts have long upheld police power to restrict Jewish worship on the Mount. A law or a ruling would have to change that.

    Not yet
  5. Jordan and the Waqf

Jordan’s role rests on Article 9 of the 1994 peace treaty. Middle East Eye reported a US and Israeli plan to replace the Waqf (May 25, 2026); Amman calls it a red line.

    Not yet
  6. A rabbinic ruling

The Chief Rabbinate bars entry to the Mount, and the Haredi parties follow rulings that forbid it. A recognized body would have to rule on the site and on purity.

    Not yet
  7. Purity

No valid red heifer ashes yet. Four heifers at Shiloh are under review, or a ruling could allow public offerings in a state of impurity.

    Partly
  8. Priests and vessels

Priests have been trained, and garments and vessels made by the Temple Institute.

    Ready
  9. Altar and site

Practice altars exist away from the Mount. The exact location of the altar is still disputed.

    Partly
  10. The first offering

A Passover lamb or the daily tamid, running before sunset on March 23, 2030.

    Not yet

If no offering is running on the Mount by sunset on March 23, 2030, the 2033 schedule has failed on its own terms.

The watch list

The checkpoints are in Jerusalem. Wars and headlines matter only where they change who controls the Mount.

Israel’s government

  • November 8, 2026: the president names who tries first. November 10: the 26th Knesset is sworn in.
  • About December 6, or December 20 with an extension: the first coalition deadline.
  • Late March to May 2027: a second election if no one forms a government.
  • October 29, 2030: the next regular election, after the altar deadline. Only a government formed now, or after an early election, could act in time.
  • Two lines in any coalition agreement: who runs the National Security Ministry, and whether it promises to keep the status quo on the Mount.

Foreign authority

  • UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (November 17, 2025) made a Board of Peace, chaired by the US president, Gaza’s transitional authority through 2027.
  • Watch for that mandate being renewed past 2027 or widened beyond Gaza.
  • Watch for any foreign or international authority over Jerusalem or the Temple Mount, or foreign troops or administrators inside Jerusalem.

Iran

  • At war with the United States and Israel since February 28, 2026, with a draft agreement under discussion in November.
  • Pickaxe Mountain, near Natanz, is dug into granite beyond the reach of current bunker-busters. On October 15 the president ruled out nuclear weapons.
  • None of this moves the Temple Mount checkpoints. Ezekiel 38 names Persia among Gog’s allies and sets that war when Israel dwells safely, which no active front allows.

Three ways an altar could come

  • By ballot: a government that backs it with police, cabinet and courts.
  • By agreement: a US-brokered arrangement that replaces the Waqf and opens the Mount to Jewish worship. Some read such a deal as the covenant of Daniel 9:27.
  • By war: a war, or a crisis in Jordan, that changes who controls the Mount, as 1967 did.

Watch the acts, not the man

Daniel’s first desecrator, Antiochus IV, stopped the offering in 167 BC and set up an abomination on the altar. The last one repeats his acts. Every name pinned on him in advance, from Napoleon on, has been wrong, so this site names no living person. These six tests apply to anyone.

  1. Takes a throne not his, “by flatteries” (Daniel 11:21).
  2. Makes a league, then works deceitfully (11:23).
  3. Wins insiders who forsake the covenant (11:30, 32).
  4. Gains authority over the holy city and the sanctuary.
  5. Stops the daily offering and sets up the abomination (11:31; 12:11).
  6. Exalts himself above every god and demands worship (11:36; 2 Thessalonians 2:4).

The odds

Judgments, not calculations, set out so they can be checked against what happens. Updated November 6, 2026.

1%A daily offering on the Mount by March 21, 2027, the first checkpoint.
6%A daily offering by March 23, 2030, the second checkpoint. About 4% on the politics alone; the rest is the chance the reading itself is true.
When the return comes, assuming it comes. Each column adds to 100%. The cautious column gives the two-day reading 5%; the confident column gives it 50% and AD 33 80%.

How the checkpoints move these numbers. If spring 2027 passes with no offering, 2030 falls to almost nothing and most of its weight moves to 2033. If spring 2030 passes the same way, 2033 falls to almost nothing and the weight moves to later years. If an offering starts on the Mount, that is strong evidence for the reading, and 2033 rises sharply.

Other dates in circulation: 1967 plus a 70-year generation gives 2037, a method that has failed before. A pre-tribulation reading of the same anchor gives a return about 2040. Isaac Newton set 2060 as a floor in 1704, writing to discourage date setting. John Bevere puts the return before 2075.

Prepare the way

Dates are for testing. Readiness is for every day.

And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

Luke 3:10. John the Baptist prepared the way with ordinary repentance: share your second coat, deal honestly, do no violence, be content with your wages (Luke 3:10 to 14).

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour.

Matthew 25:13. The chapter gives three pictures of readiness: oil in the lamp, talents put to work, and care for the hungry, the stranger and the prisoner, because that is how he is served now.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:13. The warning for the last days is that “the love of many shall wax cold” (Matthew 24:12). Hearts stay soft in company, and “the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance” (Romans 2:4).

If a checkpoint fails, this page will say so plainly. The order of events Scripture gives will still stand, and so will the hope: “look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).
